AFRIMMA partners with AXXESS, Majority Bank, Ivy League Capital, Demand Africa & the City of Dallas to present an innovative African Music Award Show & Festival concept in Dallas, Texas.

African Muzik Magazine Awards (AFRIMMA) is the highly anticipated award show celebrating the beauty of African music, culture and artistry. AFRIMMA is the biggest African music award and the sole award ceremony in the Diaspora. AFRIMMA caters to all musical genres including but not limited to Afrobeats, Assiko, Bongo, Decale, Funana, Genge, Highlife, Hiplife, Kwaito, Lingala and soukous. This year’s edition of AFRMMA is the 6th one and promises to be the biggest edition of the biggest African music awards show in Diaspora. The star -studded event attracts guests all over the world and from cities within the United States as well as guests and honorees from various African countries.

Since inception in July 2014, several music stars from Africa, America and the world over has graced the prestigious stage. The illustrious list includes Davido, Flavour- Nigeria, Fally Ipupa- Congo, Diamond Platnumz, Harmonize, Ray Vanny- Tanzania, Bisa Kdei, Efya-Ghana, Sauti Sol, Khaligraph Jones, Arrowbwoy, Miriam Chermoss -Kenya, Eddy Kenzo, Ghetto Kids -Uganda. The list also includes Tiwa Savage, Yemi Alade, Tekno, Falz, Bracket – Nigeria as well as C4 Pedro from Angola, Kearoma Rantao – Burundi and many others. American Superstars Erykah Badu and T-pain have also graced the AFRIMMA Awards in previous years.

The AFRIMMA 2019 Awards & Music Festival is set to hold this year at The Bomb Factory, Dallas, Texas on the weekend of October 26th, 2019. The pre-award activities commence on Friday the 25th of October 2019 with the Demand Africa Presents AFRIMMA Music Panel. Demand Africa partners with AFRIMMA for the fourth edition of the AFRIMMA Music Panel and this year it is known as Demand Africa Presents the AFRIMMA Music Panel. This is a forum discourse where topical issue in African music and the society are discoursed and dissected by renowned industry heads. The music panel would be held at the Dallas Public Library from 2pm and is set to be an even bigger event this year.

After the panel, guests would be treated to the awesomeness of African fashion with the spectacular 3rd Annual AFRIMMA Fashion Show at the Lofty Spaces, Dallas. The fashion show in its third year is something you do not want to miss. It is an Afro vogue celebration of beauty, fashion, music and culture that would leave you spellbound.

All roads would lead to The Bomb Factory on Saturday October 26th, 2019 as an array of Africa’s biggest music stars descend on Dallas for a celebration of African music and culture. Some of the artists expected at AFRIMMA 2019 this year include heavyweights Flavour, Fally Ipupa, Diamond Platnumz, Stonebwoy as well as rave of the moment Zlatan, Rema. Nandy, Ya Levis, Lisa Yaro, Umu Obiligbo, MasterKG, Toofan, Ommy Dimpoz and the legend 2face Idibia are some of the other stellar names set to bless the prestigious AFRIMMA stage this year.
