You've Got to Catch the Irreverent 'Train' in Keteke
Set in Ghana in the 1980’s, this irreverent & heartwarming road trip dramedy won Best Film in Burundi FESTICAB & two awards at the 2017 Golden Movie Awards Africa. A young woman and the father of her unborn baby are determined to return to her mother’s hometown of Akete to deliver their baby. In Ghana in the 1980’s the only way to travel between towns was by train. When the fateful couple misses their train while the baby is almost due, they decide to risk traveling to the next station on foot in hopes they can get to her mother on time. A tiresome journey becomes wrought with dubious encounters and the couple must rely on each other for strength & assurances or risk losing their unborn child.
