Obama Foundation To Train 200 Young Leaders Across Africa

According to USA Today, the program will be called Obama Foundation Leaders: Africa and will launch in July. The initiative will last for a year and is designed “inspire, empower, and connect 200 emerging leaders from across Africa.”

“This program will provide emerging African leaders from a range of backgrounds with the skills they need to create change… The convening will also include a town hall meeting with President Obama where he will hear about their experiences and the work they’re doing.” – The Obama Foundation

While in Johannesburg, Obama will also deliver the 16th Nelson Mandela Annual Lecture, meant to honor Mandela’s 100th birthday.
