The movie was centered on Ope, a skilled chef who tried to salvage her family’s failing hotel. Somewhere down the line, she fell in love with the man who tried to buy the hotel.
This movie was also screened in the Contemporary Cinema World Section at the 2017 Toronto International Film Festival. The movie features superb actors like Zainab Balogun, Joke Silva, Olu Jacobs, Jide Kosoko, and Rachel Oniga.
Getting Over Him
Produced by Uduak Isong, Getting over Him is another romantic comedy movie with a dramatic twist. The movie is centered on a heart broken lady, Mimi who caught her boyfriend cheating on her.
She finds comfort from a relationship blog that gives her a step by step guide to finding love again. Cast includes Majid Micahel, Matilda Obaseki, Deyemi Okanlawon, Olive Emodi and Bimbo Ademoye. The movie was released early January.
Kada River
Kada River is a historical film produced by Toka Mcbaror, a gifted producer who is keen on producing movies set in the 90’s. The plot centers on two love birds, Jerome and Nadia and their struggles during the Kaduna religious crises in 2000.
The movie stars veteran actors like Joke Silva, Keppy Ekpenyong-Bassey, and Rachel Oniga. It was released in February 21, 2018.

Produced by Ebony Life films, the Wedding Party 2 is a spin off from the Wedding Party and centers on Nonso, an Igbo boy and Deirdre, a British lady.
After an engagement ceremony in Lagos, Nonso’s Igbo family and Deirdre’s ‘upper-class’ British family reluctantly agree to a wedding in Dubai. The movie is funny, glamorous and has become one of Nigeria’s favourite romantic comedies.

The Gold Statue

Wives on Strike
