Shahi Tukda
- A pinch of saffron
- 500ml Milk
- 1 tsp Corn Flour
- 2-3 drops of rose essence
- 2 Tbsp chopped nuts
- 1/3 cup of sugar
- 1/3 cup water
- 4 Slices of bread, crusts removed
- Ghee/oil for frying

Soak Saffron in 3 tablespoons of warm milk

Mix corn flour to 2-3 Tbs of cold milk

Bring remaining milk to a boil & add the saffron mixture & corn flour mixture to the milk.

Boil until mixture becomes thick like porridge, this is called rabri.

Add rose essence & nuts to the mixture.

Prepare a thick syrup by boiling water and sugar in boiling water until it forms a syrup.

Cut bread diagonally into 4 pieces then fry in the ghee or oil until slightly brown.

Soak the fried bread in the sugar syrup for a minute or two.

After you remove the fried bread from the syrup, arrange in a plate & pour the rabri mixture over the bread

Garnish with more chopped nuts.
